Whether you have visited before, or this is your first time in Bath, by following the above link, this walking tour will open your eyes to a hidden world of yesteryear. Within a short walk, following the line of the ancient city wall, you'll hear about people who have walked this route before you. They include the Celtic Britons and French Normans, along with the Saxons, Vikings and yes, everyone's favorites, the Romans. Why not 'lend me your ears' for a walk and talk covering 1700 years?
If you have an idea not covered here, just let us know and we will look into it!
By following the link above, this walking tour will show how Bath was reborn in the 1700s to become England's premier place of resort. It attracted many of the country’s aristocracy and gentry, but also the not so well-to-do along with them. On this walk, you can promenade just as visitors did then, and experience the glamour of high society in Georgian-era Bath. You’ll see architecture that has impressed visitors for 300 years – and by the end, in the words of Jane Austen, you too will be saying, “Oh! Who can ever be tired of Bath?”.
